water. that's it. that's the post.

Honestly I resisted this for years. Kept buying serums and creams and thinking that's what my skin needed. And look, some of it does help — I've noticed a difference since I started taking collagen regularly, genuinely. But the thing nobody really says loudly enough is just... drink more water. Boring, I know. My skin in my 40s was dehydrated and I didn't even clock it. Thought it was just ageing. To be fair, some of it is. But some of it was just that I was running around at work on four cups of coffee and basically nothing else. Switched a lot of the coffee out (hot flushes, long story) and started actually drinking water through the day and my skin just... settled. Less that tight dry feeling by 3pm. I mean it sounds almost insultingly simple but there it is.

noticed my skin looked a lot better when I started actually tracking water intake properly — thought it was something else I'd changed but nah, just the water

creatine doesn't work if you're dehydrated either, learnt that the hard way 😅

sweat so much training that skin has no chance if I'm not on top of it
