SPF is not optional, I don't care what anyone says

I'm not a dermatologist but six years of obsessing over this stuff has taught me one thing — skipping SPF in summer is just... no. Doesn't matter if it's cloudy. Doesn't matter if you're indoors most of the day. My routine shrinks massively in summer tbh. Heavy creams are out, half my actives get benched because my skin just can't handle them in the heat. But SPF stays. Every single morning, no negotiation. The bit that trips people up is finding one that doesn't pill under makeup or leave that white cast. Took me ages to sort that out.

simplifying the routine in summer is underrated, less is genuinely more when it's hot

never really thought about SPF on cloudy days until someone pointed it out to me last year. been doing it since but honestly still not sure I notice a difference — probably one of those things you only see long term

the pilling thing under makeup is so real, took me ages to find one that actually sits properly
