pre-yoga snack situation, sorted

Right so I've been trying to nail this for ages — eating enough before yoga without feeling like I'm digesting a full meal on the mat. Too little and I'm dying in warrior three. Too much and, well. You know. What's actually been working: a couple of medjool dates with a small spoon of almond butter, maybe 45 mins before. That's it. Dead simple. Sometimes I'll have a small handful of roasted chickpeas if I want something with a bit more protein to it — I season them with cumin and a pinch of haldi, takes ten minutes in the air fryer. The protein thing matters more to me on days I'm doing something more intense than a flow class. I've been adding a scoop of vegan whey into a quick banana smoothie on those mornings and honestly it keeps me going way longer than I expected. Not sluggish either which used to be my problem with eating pre-workout. Chai is always very supportive during my pre-yoga snack prep. Mainly because she thinks it's for her.

aye we always have a bag of medjool dates in the house now, Kirsty got me onto them — I was dead sceptical but they actually do the job
